"For Insulated Concrete Walls"
Introducing E-MAXX from Western Forms. You now have an insulation option that installs quickly and easily, from the leader in poured wall technology. It offers homeowners and businesses an energy efficient concrete wall structure designed for comfort, savings, and longevity whether it’s battling freezing winds or soaring temperatures.
With E-MAXX you get superior insulation with less time, effort, and cost than traditional insulating concrete forms (ICF), wood framing, and other insulating concrete wall systems. E-MAXX outperforms conventional wood framing and bat insulation with similar R-values by up to 33% with superior R-Values ranging from R-10 to R-25.
Builders can eliminate additonal carpenters, subcontractors and materials and use one crew that can setup, pour, insulate, and provide furring strips all in one step. Setup is easy and requires little training to achieve maximum results. Insulation happens at the same time the wall forms are erected, using Western Forms equipment and the concrete contractors labor. Finishing materials attach directly to the E-Maxx "T-Stud", eliminating the additional time to prepare the walls for drywall and exterior finishes.
Design Flexibility vs ICF Block Forming
Unlike conventional foam block forms (ICF), which require you to insulate both sides of the concrete wall, using E-MAXX along with your choice of insulated foam gives you the flexibility to select the desired amount and type of insulation for each section of your wall.
E-MAXX System vs Wood Framed Walls
Wood framed walls lose energy through their wood studs, plates and bat insulation that have low thermal mass and high wind infiltration. Using E-MAXX with a contractors choice of expanded or extruded polystyrene foam provides a consistent solid insulated barrier and cast-in-place concrete provides a high thermal mass throughout the wall surface and the life of a home or business.
The E-MAXX system uses 2” Expanded Poly-Styrene foam insulation (white) or 2” Extruded Poly-Styrene foam insulation (Blue/Pink) that can be purchased at a local supplier or a supplier listed below.
